Planner’s commentsMatthew Foskett
Thanks to all who ran, walked or jogged this Street-O event in Newton Hall. There are 21 separate finishers shown in the results, but several of these were multiple participants and so there was around 30 people in total.
This was the first time we’d tried this format as an event (rather than simply a club night) and based on the feedback this is something that we hope to repeat. It also seemed that the area was a good fit for the event – many said they would like to do an event here again and several people said they
were planning to head out to visit all the controls at a later date. It was noted that there was an area near the allotments where the mapping was slightly unclear – in retrospect I should have hatched over the allotment area to highlight the fact that there was an inaccessible area here.

It is worth highlighting that we do Club Nights each Wednesday in the Durham area and that in the upcoming months there are weekend events by local clubs including NN. For those who cannot make these events there are also several MapRun courses (where you use an app to time you and
confirm you are at a control) and permanent courses. Please see our website for further details. We can also be contacted via Facebook or email ([email protected]).
Thanks to all who helped run this event, both on the day and several who helped with the event administration but were unable to attend on the night.
