By all accounts and despite some major set backs with permissions for the Northern Championships, it appears that the Northumberland Spring weekend was a resounding success. The NN Middle Distance event at Shaftoe Crags on the Saturday was blessed with some fine weather and competitors appeared to enjoy both the area and the courses with many good comments passed at the download point. A big thanks must go to all the club members, plus a few from other clubs, who rallied round to help things run smoothly on the day. A particularly good performace was put in by our own Yolanda Hampshire-Wright (W16) winning her age class at Shaftoe and also becoming Northern Champion on Sunday – well done!
