This weeks training will be using the Shincliffe Park map , so meet at: There is usually plenty of roadside parking, and there should be street furniture to lock bikes to.
We will then head to the orienteering start at :
The area is usually quite damp underfoot so I’d suggest trainers with decent grip, and also long leg cover, plus obviously a head torch. There is also map run available for each course
Courses:Short: 2.2kmMedium: 2.7kkmLong:3.6km
Courses have been planned to reduce the height gain though the longer course the more elevation, and the shorter course does avoid the worst vegetation and there are no road crossings.
If you can let me know your preferred map choice by 3pm on Wednesday please though there will be a few extras for people that want a second course. map reservation
