We had a good turnout at the Northern Championships at Burbage Moor in the Peak District. The terrain was a mixture of runnable moorland with a complicated boulder field which added some good navigational challenge, to be followed by some pretty tiring and fairly featureless heather moorland which wasn’t quite so much fun! Nevertheless, we had some excellent performances from NN, particularly Maya who came away as Northern Champion in the W20E class – well done Maya! Members’ results were as follows: Yokub – 8th (W16A), Meg – 3rd (W21L), Kate – 3rd (W50L), Debby – 8th (W60L), Barney – 7th (M21E), Matthew – 19th (M21E), Thomas – 3rd (M21L), Max – 3rd (M35L), Rob – 3rd (M45L), Dave – 19th (M45L), Nigel – 3rd (M50L), Julian 6th (M60S).
